The Opportunity:
Techforce Personnel are seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join our clients team in Weipa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and providing leadership to the electrical and refrigeration team. The successful candidate will be an advocate for the business both within the organisation and externally. This will require a strong commitment to meeting client expectations, as well as positive and productive relationship management skills and a continual improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading, directing and motivating a diverse team
- Maintain and build relationships with clients, offering services, quoting and tendering works, creating win-win relationships.
- Manage and deliver expert advice and assistance to campaign industry best practice and to ensure the quality of work delivered to clients and external stakeholders is consistently of a high standard.
- High level planning and strategic thinking skills with the ability to set priorities and manage complex workflows across multiple work fronts
- Ensuring workers implement control measures to minimise risk to health and safety of themselves and others
- Report incidents, non-conformances and near misses and participate in incident investigations when required
- Collaborating with project engineers/managers, mechanical/ civil/ electrical disciplines and other stakeholders
- Conduct Prestart meetings and toolbox talks
- Trade certificate - Electrical (Mandatory)
- QLD Electrical Licence (Mandatory)
- LVR CPR (Mandatory or willing to obtain)
- Construction Induction Card (Mandatory)
- Rio Tinto Inducted (Advantage)
- Supervisor Training (Advantage)
- High Voltage (Advantage)
ABOUT YOU
- Ability to collaborate with team members and supervise to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in related field
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices within mining domestic environments
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and adapt
- This role will involve a relocation to Weipa
