About the Role:

Techforce is seeking an experienced SMP Project Engineer to join our client's team for a 4-month fixed process plant installation project. This role will focus on the installation of structural steel, tanks, pumps, and piping, ensuring quality, schedule adherence, and technical compliance during the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the installation of fixed process plant equipment (structural steel, tanks, pumps, pipes, etc.)
• Conduct daily reporting and track project schedules
• Perform QA inspections and manage MDRs, ITPs, and ITRs
• Review and update
• P&ID drawings to ensure alignment with the as-built plant status
• Handle Technical Queries (TQs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
• Assist with basic commercial tasks, including variation pricing
• Collaborate with site teams to resolve technical issues and maintain compliance

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in SMP project engineering within mining or heavy industry
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, construction methodologies, and technical documentation
• Familiarity with P&ID drawings and ability to assess them against plant status
• Ability to track schedules, report progress, and manage technical issues
• A proactive problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail

• Experience with redlining and greenlining technical drawings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with site-based teams
• Previous experience with shutdowns, commissioning, or fixed plant installation
