Despite early intervention, Marc’s symptoms worsened rapidly, prompting Joel to coordinate an urgent transfer to Canberra for medical review, and ensuring Marc wasn’t burdened with expenses. Even after Marc was cleared for travel back to Brisbane, Joel’s vigilance remained constant. “Watching the infection progress was concerning and I knew immediate action was necessary,” said Joel.
